Photon is a decentralized, cost-effective, and developer-friendly Layer 2 solution for Bitcoin, powered by BVM and Celestia. Designed to scale the next generation of on-chain applications, it is incubated by SatoshiSync and aims to foster an inclusive and accessible Bitcoin crypto economy for everyone.

Driven by the SatoshiSync initiative, the Photon Chain represents a significant advancement in the evolution of the Bitcoin ecosystem. Photon leverages a modular Layer 2 stack to enhance Bitcoin's capabilities, facilitating the seamless integration of diverse decentralized applications (dApps) into the Bitcoin network.

Photon is funded by Amalia Irena Grochal, but the amount has not been disclosed.
