Project Details
What is Ithaca?
Ithaca is a project designed to promote the development of decentralized applications (dApps) based on blockchain technology. It provides powerful open-source development tools to accelerate the development of decentralized technology and enable developers to efficiently build dApps and Layer2 networks. A major attraction of Ithaca is the ability to try out cutting-edge technologies through its advanced testnet called Odyssey.
Features of Odyssey
Odyssey is an OP Stack rollup testnet for experimenting with new Ethereum technology research (EIPs). Unlike regular forks, Odyssey is designed using the reth node builder API. By leveraging this API, it is possible to implement experimental EIPs, apply new instructions, and test blockchain functionality.
Specifically, the following EIPs are currently implemented in Odyssey:
- ・EIP-7702: Code setting for EOAs (Externally Owned Accounts)
- ・RIP-7212: Precompile to support the secp256r1 curve
- ・EIP-2537: Precompile for BLS12-381 curve operations
This testnet serves as a testing ground for the latest technologies and a research platform for solving the performance and scalability challenges facing blockchain technology. Furthermore, by leveraging Reth's modular architecture, Odyssey improves the user experience of decentralized technologies and contributes to cost reduction.

Ithaca's Vision and Values
Ithaca aims to develop decentralized technology faster and more efficiently. It particularly emphasizes the "pursuit of truth." Even when the path is difficult, Ithaca maintains a posture of pursuing the most accurate and truthful technical solutions.
Furthermore, Ithaca's engineering team possesses a high degree of autonomy and excellent problem-solving skills, promoting development based on rapid decision-making and prioritization. They value a scientific approach, formulating hypotheses, collecting data, and making technical decisions based on evidence.
Ithaca's Strengths
- ・Powerful Open Source Tools: Ithaca develops and provides tools widely used in the industry, such as Reth and Foundry, which form the foundation for decentralized application development.
- ・Excellent Development Environment: By utilizing Odyssey, developers can easily develop and experiment with Layer 2 solutions and access cutting-edge blockchain technology.
- ・Collaborative Spirit: Ithaca works closely with the developer community and the industry, actively accepting technical feedback and driving innovation.
Funding Information
Ithaca raised $20 million from Paradigm in its Seed round in October 2024.
Airdrop Information
There has been no official announcement of an airdrop from Ithaca, but participating in the testnet may make you eligible for distribution if an airdrop is conducted in the future, so we encourage you to actively engage with it.
Airdrop Strategy
Summary of Steps
- 1. Obtain testnet tokens from a Faucet page such as Alchemy
- 2. Connect your wallet on the website
- 3. Bridge from Sepolia to Odyssey
- 4. Bridge back from Odyssey to Sepolia
