What is Gradient Network?
Gradient Network is a decentralized edge compute layer built on Solana, addressing the centralization challenges faced by cloud computing. As AI and cloud technologies advance, major tech companies are increasingly dominating computing resources, but Gradient Network aims to change that trend by providing an open compute environment accessible to everyone.
Gradient Network's vision is to provide an inclusive, accessible, and affordable computing environment. By leveraging the power of edge computing, they are building an infrastructure that can accommodate various needs such as AI inference, content delivery, and serverless functions. This network moves beyond the traditional client-server model, offering decentralized, secure data management and high performance.
Inspiration and Approach
Inspired by "Gradient Descent," Gradient Network aims to progressively realize an open and ubiquitous compute network through the following phases:

- ・Adaptive Orchestration
Each phase brings the network closer to a decentralized and efficient compute ecosystem that prioritizes the elimination of centralized intermediaries, improved performance, and data privacy protection.
Architectural Layers
Gradient Network consists of the following four main layers:
- ・Pervasive Connectivity Layer: Implements a mesh network to overcome the limitations of the traditional client-server model. Enables direct communication, improving system robustness while protecting data privacy.
- ・Homogenized Computation Layer: Standardizes different computational resources as a single, integrated computational layer, enhancing the distribution of computational resources and achieving high availability.
- ・Adaptive Orchestration Layer: Dynamically manages resources according to different computing needs, enabling efficient service delivery.
- ・Oracles and Settlement Layer: Based on the Solana blockchain, provides oracle functionality and a settlement system that supports mass adoption of Web3. Creates a user-friendly and high-performance computing environment.
Features and Strengths
Introduction of Sentry Node
As part of the Pervasive Connectivity Layer, the privacy-preserving and lightweight Sentry Node is used. This ensures global connectivity while supporting resource stability.
Adaptive Utilization of Computational Resources
With a structure that can flexibly respond to different computational demands, it can efficiently handle high-load processing such as AI inference and content delivery.
Decentralization and High Security
Through a decentralized approach, it builds a robust compute network that does not rely on centralized systems while protecting data privacy.

Airdrop Information
In Gradient Network's Season 0, as an open beta for Sentry Nodes, you can earn rewards by contributing to the network. Different rewards are set for each season and will be updated according to new milestones.
Reward Types and How to Earn Them
Network Rewards
- ・Proof-of-Availability (POA): 0.25 points are awarded every 10 minutes based on Sentry Node uptime.
- ・Proof-of-Connectivity (POC): When a connection ("Tap") with another Sentry Node in the network is successful, both nodes are awarded 0.75 points. Taps occur approximately every 10 minutes, and the connection success rate varies depending on the network environment.
Referral Bonus
- ・One-time Bonus: When a referred user reaches 72 hours of uptime, both the referrer and the referred user receive 20 points.
- ・Continuous Bonus: Continuously receive 10% of the POA and POC rewards of the users you referred (first-level referrals) and their referrals (second-level referrals).
Account Boost
You can earn experience points (EXP) for each achievement, which increases your account status. As your status increases, the reward boost rate increases, and this is reflected in all nodes associated with the account. There are six status levels from "Iron: 0%" to "Diamond: 10%."
